Video: A Peck on the Cheek
This movie took me a while to really settle into - which is alright because I believe it is at least 3 hours. The cinematography during the musical numbers was soaring and beautiful. I absolutely loved the amount of familial touch in this movie - there was far more hugging, kissing, and touching all in the sense of FAMILY. It really reached out to me because I believe this is how families should interact, and I think in many American movies there is very little "loving touch" between family members. It was very sweet to see. As the movie went along I grew to love it more and more and I truly think I can say it is one of my favorites. Love the music style too - I needed something a little different than American mainstream.
Milos, Mediterraneo
Wow. Ok, so I'm no expert on classical guitar, but this album is amazing. I can usually tell if I like an artists and their style within the first 20 seconds of listening - call it the "X Factor" if you will, but I definitely got it with Milos. I have also seen a video of him live via the NPR Tiny Desk Concert and he sounded equally amazing live, although it is only slightly more resonant on the recording. This is easy listening at it's best, the opposite of elevator music. He's got some major talent going on. 28 years old from Montenegro, went to the Royal Academy of Music in London and, oh, he's handsome too to top it off!
